World record handicapped scuba

Handicap Scuba Association South Africa invites the Media to attend the first ever held event of its kind in the world.  The attempt will be to set a world record for the most disabled divers diving at once.  Divers with a vast range of disabilities, ranging from spina bifida, hearing loss, amputees, paraplegics, quadriplegics, muscular dystrophy, sight impairment and locked in syndrome will join in the attempt.

Three Species Angling Competition

I have just returned from the popular yearly Three Species Angling Competition on Loskop Dam. This year the competition drew 1 486 competitors - the biggest number in six years - and there were between 500 and 600 boats on this beautiful dam. The competition also celebrated its eighteenth birthday this year.

On a very cold afternoon, 26 May 2011, Bela Bela witnessed the opening of the newly built health treatment wing of the Hydro at Forever Resorts Warmbaths. In 1979 Kobus Tait, managing director of Forever Resorts South Africa, witnessed the official opening of the Hydro, and it was yet again an exciting moment for Kobus to be part of the official opening of the newly built extension of the health treatment centre.
