Pretoria – In celebrating September as tourism month and in conjunction with National Park week, Forever Resorts slashed its accommodation prices at six of their properties adjacent to the Kruger National Park.
“In support of our beautiful parks, we wish to encourage people to take pride in our natural heritage by taking up on the SANParks offer of free entry to the Parks next week” said Christo Wagenaar of Forever Resorts.
Five of our properties will be offering South Africans affordable accommodation and a free breakfast pack to enjoy as a picnic in the park or a complimentary breakfast at the properties restaurant. The resorts participating in this offer includes Swadini, close to the Orpen Gate, Phalaborwa Safari Park, which is situated 500m from the Phalaborwa Gate and Tshipise in the North, from where guests can enter the Kruger Park through the Punda Maria entrance.
Others offering similar packages are Forever Resorts White River Lodge, close to the Kruger and Numbi gates, as well as Impala Inn in Phalaborwa and Tulani Safari Lodge, situated in the Balule Reserve, close to Phalaborwa.
South Africans will be able to enter the National Parks for free as day visitors during the week of 14-18 September 2009.
"This concept was launched in 2006, to encourage South Africans to visit national parks, out of the realisation that the majority of this country's citizens were not accessing parks." KNP’s chief executive David Mabunda said in a statement.
