This year’s Coca-Cola Cravenweek for under 13’s will have all the ingredients to be a very memorable one. The tournament will be hosted in Bela-Bela and will portray the real Bushveld hospitality. This year sees the 50th celebration of the first Craven week rugby tournament and 18 provincial teams will be taking part in 36 matches to be played on the Rugby fields of Warmbaths High School from Monday.
Most of the teams will be accommodated in the School Hostels, whilst the different delegations from SA Rugby and the provinces will be accommodated at Warmbaths, A Forever Resort. The provincial teams will be welcomed into the town at Toekas on Sunday. The Local Organising Committee has arranged an ambassador to accompany each team for the duration of the week. These ambassadors have been chosen from the First Rugby Team of the High School.
The tournament registration takes place at the Convention Centre of Warmbaths, a Forever Resort after which the formal programme will commence with a church service on Sunday Evening, followed by the welcoming function, sponsored by the Limpopo Tourism Department. The first rugby match will kick-off on Monday morning at 08:30, when the teams of Zimbabwe and the Golden Lions meet. The official opening ceremony will take place on the High School Stadium at 13:30 and will be attended by various dignitaries, including the Premier of Limpopo, Mr Cassel Mathale ; Mr Oregan Hoskins, the President of SARU, Mr Louis Nel, President of the Blue Bulls Rugby Union and Mr Joe Mahomole, President of the Limpopo Sports Confederation.
On Monday Evening officials will attend a dinner sponsored by the sponsors, Coca-Cola and SARU, whilst Tuesday evening the Executive Mayor of the Waterberg Municipality, Cllr Rosina Mokgotlane will host a function for the Team Officials. Thursday will see a traditional Bushbraai to ensure that the delegates from all over Southern Africa will remember the bushveld tradition. This function will be hosted by Mr Kobus Tait, MD of Forever Resorts, who this year also celebrates their 80th year of existence and 10 years as Forever Resorts.

The tournament is presented by the Blue Bulls Limpopo Primary Schools Rugby Union and the Local Organising Committee is represented by various schools as well as Forever Resorts.
